Foster Child

A foster child is a child that is in the care and custody of the state, and usually living in a foster home. A foster child no longer lives with their biological family because of abandonment, abuse, or neglect. To no fault of their own, a foster child suddenly finds they have no personal possessions, and are living in a shelter or with a family of strangers.
